About Me
Where did the inspiration for Fontenelle candles come from?
My name is Giovanna Fontenelle I’m from a traditional Brazilian family, more precisely we are from the city of Goiânia located in central Brazil.
Scented Candles Inspired by the Tranquility of Nature
Much of my life has been on the farms founded by my grandfather Maurício Fontenelle bordering my city. Farms named as Retiro, Bonsucesso and Nova Veneza. Being a very large and connected family, we all meet on one of our farms, alternating weekends for good barbecue and good conversation that lasts all day under our mango tree sitting on our handcrafted picnic table.
This contact with nature, waterfalls, streams, animals, inspired me in this more natural side, which identifies luxury in the simple, eating the good food that is produced in the field, sitting on the handcraft wooden bench made of solid wood full of family counting stories until dawn.
This simplicity enchants me and with so much production coming from our field, made me stop to think why not starting to produce our candles whose essences remind us of this nature, this tranquility, this peace?. With this in mind, I developed scented candles that seek this luxurious essence of country life, where I believe that luxury is the space that allows you to breathe, bringing comfort and well-being .
